These are some of the many people who helped my family and me through the years.
My mother's parents, Grandpa and Grandma Gould, came for
my graduation
day. They took care of my brother, Brent, when we had to go to the doctor in Detroit. They have both passed away, but our love for them will always be in our hearts.
Grandad and Granny Abbott, dear family friends, took care of my brother whenever we needed them. Brent stayed with them during one of my surgeries. They are a very special couple and we love them. Grandad died recently. We miss you, Grandad!
Grandma and Grandpa Vinton took care of Brent also.
They had family Christmas at their house every year until 1972 when our family moved to Atlanta so my father could go into the ministry. They passed away ten years ago. They are dearly missed and we treasure the special times we had with them.

All of them have supported and encouraged us from the first day we met. Peggy even came all the way to Mayo Clinic when I had my third surgery in 1992. We lost Tom's dad six years ago, and his mother passed
away last July. Our hearts are broken over their departure from
this life, but the times we had together were the best.
