I write to you now. She was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and through the grace of God is home and doing
well after her first open heart surgery. God willing, she will face two additional surgeries in the near future.

"As I read your story I find the tears welling up in my eyes, not out of sadness, pure inspiration. As a mother
of a 2 year old child with Double Inlet Left Ventricle it's a reassuring feeling to see the God-willing side of life with
this complex heart disease. At 20 weeks gestation me and my husband found out what lay ahead for our daughter and were strongly
urged to terminate the pregnancy. We felt what God has brought us up to, he would be with us as we came out the other side.
She is 2 now and has undergone 2 of the 3 stages in her sequence of heart operations. She is defying all limitaions that have
been put upon her, and continues to teach us the defenition of life everyday. Thank you for sharing your story. The affirmation
that life is possible under these circumstances can be seen in your and my daughters life. I hope that families out there
who aren't sure what roads will lie ahead find your story and can encompass the same inspiration that is yours and my
